Tuesday | June 11, 2024

As a Cooperative member, you can automatically round up your monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar. The extra cents collected will be contributed to Operation Round Up.

In 2022, the Operation Round Up Board of Directors awarded a total of $19,500 in grants to 13 local organizations.

South Plains Electric Cooperative is committed to the communities it serves. Operation Round Up is an innovative program where Cooperative members help to provide funding for people and projects in our local communities.

Early Learning Centers of Lubbock prides themselves on being the only childcare center to offer affordable childcare to any child from birth to age 12 in Lubbock and surrounding areas. ELC has five facilities with nearly 80 employees who consistently need training. With the grant, ELC purchased a laptop to connect training materials to the Center’s Smartboard. By providing their employees with additional training, the facilities can continue to educate and nurture young children and their families for a successful future and get the students school ready!
