To better help the communities we serve and further South Plains Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up’s mission of neighbors helping neighbors, the Operation Round Up Board of Directors created a community grant program to help local non-profit organizations.

Thanks to our generous membership, Operation Round Up was able to give out $24,000 in grants to 19 local non-profit organizations.

The Guadalupe Economic Services Corporation was a recipient of a 2020-2021 Operation Round Up grant. The GESC came about shortly after the May 11, 1970, F-5 tornado. The primary purpose of GESC is to grow, educate and serve agriculture-based communities.

They used this grant to purchase new equipment necessary for inspections and assessments of homes as they serve potential applicants.
