South Plains Electric Cooperative’s Operation Round Up Board of Directors created a mini-grant program to help local teachers fund classroom projects or educational field trips.

A teacher mini-grant recipient was art teacher Jana Garrison from Terra Vista Middle School. The grant was used to purchase art materials that her 8th grade students used to create murals depicting the history of Frenship ISD.

These murals, along with an artistic statement describing the painting, will be displayed in participating businesses to exhibit student talent and the culture of Frenship ISD.
