In 2022, the Operation Round Up Board of Directors awarded a total of $19,500 in grants to 13 local organizations.

The Llano Estacado Silver Star Board is a non-profit organization formed to help caseworkers at Adult Protective Services assist clients not supported by state funds with rent, utilities, bus passes, ramps for disabled individuals, etc.

With their grant of $1,500, the Llano Estacado Silver Star Board had the opportunity to help six families with their utility bills. Many individuals are not able to afford their utility bills in times when putting food on the table or paying other bills takes priority. The grant money ensured families had a working air conditioner and heater during the cruel-weather months.

The grant was also used to purchase needed supplies and toiletries for their Silver Star Room, to repair a gas line and to finance the trimming of trees to protect houses and utility lines. Operation Round Up helped guarantee the safety of APS clientele within the Lubbock community.
